PLATTE CITY PARKS AND RECREATION IS OFFERING A YOUTH VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE.

Our youth programs are designed to familiarize and involve our youth in the game of volleyball through fun and engaging practices and games. This league is a great way for kids to develop motor and social skills and spend quality time with peers all while having FUN! PCP&R is partnered with Smithville Parks and Recreation and Kearney Parks and Recreation. Traveling will be required.

• Divisions: 
  • 10U: 3rd & 4th grade
    • DOB: 08/01/2013-07/31/2015
  • 12U: 5th & 6th grade
    • DOB: 08/01/2011-07/31/2013
• Structure: 
  • Individual sign ups only
  • Team sign ups are not permitted in this league
  • Staff will attempt to accommodate up to 2 requests
  • 6 game season
• Season: 
  • 8/21/2023 - 10/18/2023 
• Practice: 
  • 3 weeks of practice
  • 1-2 practices per week
  • Once games begin, teams will have limited practice options
• Practice Locations:
  • Compass Elementary
• Games: 
  • Played on Wednesday evenings 
• Game Locations: 
  • Kearney
  • Smithville High School
  • Platte City - Compass Elementary
• Uniform: 
  • Jersey for all players. You will need to provide your own shorts, knee pads and shoes. 
• Coaching: 
  • Recreation programs are dependent upon volunteer coaches. If you would like to coach, please select that option on your child's registration form.
  • Background checks are required for all coaches.

Children who receive the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch program or families whose children are too young to attend school but receive Federal Food Stamps program qualify for our Scholarship Program. Please select that option on the registration form and skip the payment section. Strict confidentiality will be maintained at all times. Program leaders and coaches will not be informed of a participant's scholarship status.

$75.00 per participant

Late Registration Fee: $20.00 per participant
